Children's Religious Education
(a.k.a., "CCD" - Confraternity of Christian Doctrine)

Mary Mother of God Parish provides Religious Education for children in first through eigth grades. Public school children wishing to receive First Eucharist in second grade must begin to attend religious education in the first grade. We are always looking for adults to help out as teachers or teacher's aides.

Classes are held on the following schedule:

Grades 1-6:

4:15pm-5:30pm Tuesdays or Wednesdays
5:00pm-6:15pm Thursdays
9am-10:15am Sunday for 1st grade only, by request only (write it onto your signup form).

Grades 5-8:

7:00pm-8:15pm Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
5:00pm-6:15pm Thursdays (7th grade only).

Cost is:

$125 for one child,
$165 for 2 children,
$185 for 3 or more children.
Registrations received after May 31, 2008 will have a LATE FEE of $25 per family.
2nd graders have an additional $25 First Communion fee.
6th graders have an additional $20 charge for their own bible.
8th graders have an additional $50 Confirmation fee (includes gown rental and retreat).
Busing is available from Auten Road school for 5th & 6th graders attending the 4:15pm classes for an additional $40 fee (please pay for bussing with a separate check).
Please call Mrs. Fallon if finances are a problem; do not hold up sending in the registration forms.
Please make all checks payable to "Mary Mother of God Church."

You must provide your parish envelope number on your registration form. If you are not registered, click the "News" link above to see the time of the next quarterly registration session.

Students in Hillsborough's "TP" program (transitional primary) should begin CCD the following year (when they enter First Grade).

one "family" form,
plus your payment check (see above for amounts).

Closing information: Religious Education classes are not held on any day which the Hillsborough public schools are closed or cancelled due to holiday, vacation, or inclement weather. We try to post this information on the main page of our web site as well as on http://www.centraljerseysnow.com. Your child has brought home a class schedule for the year.

Preschool and Kindergarten Enrichment
Preschool is offered for potty trained 3 and 4 year olds. Registration begins in January for the following school year. For more information, view copies of our Preschool brochure or our Kindergarten Enrichment brochure.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
The RCIA program is designed to welcome adults into our Catholic faith. Preparation begins in September with the goal of receiving the Sacraments of Baptism (for non-Christians), Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist at the Easter Vigil Mass.
