Altar Servers

“I come before the altar of God, the God who is the joy of my youth.”

We are now recruiting children from our parish who have received their first communion and older (3 rd grade through High School), to serve the Parish Community as Altar Servers.

Altar Servers learn about the liturgy so they can assist the Priest and Deacon and help lead the community in prayer, by their active participation in each celebration.

Being a server requires a commitment of time and energy, so any interested server should discuss with their parents whether they are able to commit to:

• Attending and Serving masses on Saturday evening or Sunday mornings
• Assisting at other parish liturgical celebrations (weddings and Funerals, etc)
• Attending training and other programs to help them develop in their faith.
