Welcome to the Mary, Mother of God Religious Education program. Our mission is to guide the children of our parish in the ways of our shared Catholic faith with their parents/guardians as the primary teachers. Our program is a continuing education program. Children are expected to participate all years, grades one through eighth.
We offer an annual program for children in first through eighth grades which roughly follows the Hillsborough Township school calendar. For the 2024-2025 year, we offer one day a week, in-class instruction. We also offer our traditional home - school arrangement for children in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Classes normally run from mid-to-late September through the first week of May. Home school students meet four evenings per school year. Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes except for illness or family emergency.
Grades 1-6: Tuesday or Wednesday, 5:00pm to 6:15pm
Grades 7-8: Tuesday or Wednesday, 7:00pm to 8:15pm
Grades 1-8: Thursday, 5:00pm to 6:15pm
Class Catechists and Aides are all volunteers. Class availability is based on the number of volunteer Catechists so all planned days and times may not be available. Please consider assisting us; Catechists receive first choice for their children’s class assignments as well as a tuition waiver. Aides receive a 50% tuition discount. 1st and 2nd graders prepare for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. 7th and 8th graders prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation and are required to volunteer service hours in support of the Church and the community.
