Odilia of Alsace was born blind. She was rejected by her father, a French duke, and sent to live in a convent. But Odilia was happy there, and at her baptism, she miraculously gained her sight. Odilia's father repented of his harshness and gave Odilia a castle to convert into a convent. She spent the rest of her life caring for the poor and sick.
